Mistakes can be made when issuing a part to a WO. Some are the following.
1-Trying to issue a part that has no quantity in stock.
In order to add a part to a WO, it's not mandatory to have it in stock. However, you won't be able to issue it. When trying to issue the parts, these PNs will appear in grey.
It's also possible to know this by checking directly in the WO Browser
Another option is to check for the part in the Manage Inventory Browser.
2- Issuing a part committed to another WO
If you are trying to issue a part that is already committed to another WO, the system will show you a warning but will still allow you to do it.
Nevertheless, in order to maintain traceability, it's not advisable to issue parts already committed to other WOs.
